To fully optimize your videos on YouTube you need to perform all 9 optimization steps. Step 7 of 9 is correcting your transcriptions and in this video you learn how to correct your transcriptions and why it’s important!

Google is getting a lot better, however, a lot of times there are incorrect words or phrases used in your transcription. You want to correct these transcriptions for the hard of hearing, as well as for Google because Google reads the transcription for keyword searches and you want to be found for the correct keywords.

To do this simply click on the “English Automatic” button and then click on edit, and edit on the left side. If you wrote a script, it’s easier to choose the transcribe and auto sync option because you can copy and paste your script.
