What is a video link vs. a video embed code and where can you find both?

A video is link is the url of the video, or a shortened link that you can use to share the video via email, on Twitter, and LinkedIn. You can find this link by grabbing the URL at the top of the webpage. Or you can click on “share” and copy the url, or you can click on the social media site you want to post to; however we don’t advise linking to Facebook as their algorithm always wants videos organically posted to their site.

The embed code is listed here and only on this share location. Click the button and copy the embed code, check or uncheck the options you want and paste onto your website, blogs, and newsletters. This way the video will be embedded and play on that platform vs. linking to YouTube. We hope you better understand what links and embed codes are and when to use which features.

Now YOU can answer the question what is a video link, and know how to use them in your content and social sharing efforts!
